Klopp wants to be at the top of the season, not in November

Jurgen Klopp is naturally happy to be at the top of the points table at the end of the English Premier League 12th round. However, he did not agree to suffer. Instead, the only goal for the Liverpool coach is to grab the title at the end of the season.

Liverpool have advanced to the second position with a 3-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday at Anfield. The defending champions are 7 points behind them.

Klopp's side were ahead of Manchester City at the end of 20 rounds of the Premier League last season. The group, known as 'All Reds', later lost the rhythm. City won the title by 5 points ahead of them.
Liverpool have been dominating the league since its inception. They are also thought to be the biggest contenders in this year's title. However, Klopp doesn't think too much about the team's position at the points table.

"We were totally focused on the game today, not at the points table or at how many points we were ahead of the city. Our interval with them is 5 points, nothing could be thought of before. ”
"But it's not really important. Who wants to be at the top of the points table in early November? We want to be at the peak next May, not just in November. We'll just try to do what we can. Then let's see what happens. "

The German coach feels that holding the top of the points table from the front is not a pressure for his team.
"To be honest, we're not feeling stressed. Where is the pressure?… There are still many paths left and here and there, one point can be lost or something like that happens. ”
